The Talent Show and Dinner will be held this year on Sunday May 3rd at 5:00 p.m.  We are changing things this year and asking you to bring your best soup to share. You can bring a dessert if you don’t want to bring soup. There is a sign-up sheet in the narthex. If you plan to share and show your talent, please inform Jeremiah Bull.

On Sunday May 17th at 9:15 am Lakewood volunteers will be helping with preparing and serving a meal and providing fellowship at the Erie City Mission, 1023 French St. If you are interested in being a part of this important ministry activity, there is a signup sheet in the church lobby. Volunteers will meet at about 9:15 am at the City Mission (entrance behind the building).

Volunteers are usually done by 12:30 or 1:00 pm.

Spring clean-up May 13th at 6:30 p.m. there will be a clean-up day around the church. Pizza and pop will be provided for all the helpers. Many hands make light work!

Please join us on Monday May 4th from 6:00-7:00 in the Lakewood Prayer Chapel (off the sanctuary). This prayer hour has a new format which will include a weekly focus and special prayer intention. Monday May 4th the focus will be Praise and the special intention is for Peace in our world, country and hearts. This is a comfortable, welcoming, covenant space to gather in the presence of God. You don't need to pray out loud unless you want to - you can simply participate by being present. We plan to meet every Monday for one hour - there is no commitment - come when you can or feel called to be there. Everyone is invited. Adult Sunday School led by Pastor Kathleen, will be studying The Disciple’s Path.  We’ll meet in Room 24. Each session includes a short DVD presentation followed by time for reflection and open conversation. All adults are welcome!

We served 146 families in the rain on Tuesday April 14th. When you are shopping, please think about your neighbors who need to consider what they are able to purchase. Our shelves need your help with tuna fish and jelly. Thank you for helping us stock our shelves.
