Many of the children in our food pantry area are eligible for free or reduced breakfast and lunch at school.  When they get home they want cereal or a peanut butter and jelly sandwich as a snack.  Please check your grocery store to donate items on sale that a child would like.  A nice choice may be canned fruit or an item the whole family might enjoy. Thank you for remembering those less fortunate.

Please join us on Mondays from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the Lakewood Prayer Chapel (off the sanctuary).  This prayer hour has a new format which will include a weekly focus and special prayer intention.  This is a comfortable, welcoming, covenant space to gather in the presence of God.  You don’t need to pray out loud unless you want to – you can simply participate by being present.  We plan to meet every Monday for one hour – there is no commitment – come when you can or feel called to be there. Everyone is invited.

On October 24, we will meet at the 12th Street Pub at 7:00 p.m. for wings and football.  In conjunction with election day, we will have a Bake Sale on Tuesday, November 3.  More details to follow.

UWIF will be having a Foodless Food Drive to support the West Millcreek Food Pantry on Sunday, Oct. 25th and Sunday, Nov. 1st after both services. The money collected will go towards purchasing larger turkeys for our larger families. We have about 28 families that have 6-15 members! Also, we will soon be starting our annual collection of Thanksgiving fixin's. We will let you know soon what our church will be collecting! Please help us make sure our neighbors have what they need to have a great holiday!

SAVE THE DATE – Advent by Candlelight-Family Roundtable Carol Sing will be Sunday December 6 2026, in Fellowship Hall. Doors open at 5:50 p.m.
Please plan to join us for an evening of Christmas Carols, candlelight, delicious desserts, laughter, fellowship and the joy of Advent. We hope you will bring your family, invite a friend, and join us as we celebrate the Christmas season together! Everyone is welcome!
We need your help to make this special evening possible we are looking for 10 host/hostess teams (20 people), 3-4 kitchen volunteers to prepare coffee, hotwater for team and water pitchers, Volunteers to help with setup on Saturday, December 5th and after church on Sunday December 6th. A host/hostess meeting will be held prior to the event to go over details and help everyone prepare their tables.
