This year Ash Wednesday is February 18th and we will have a service at 7:00 p.m. which will include Communion.

We thank you for your donations to our food pantry. In spite of the cold temperatures, 103 families came to pick up their food this past Tuesday. The shelves are bare of canned vegetables which we hope you will be
able to help us provide this month. Thank you as always for your continued generosity!

The Men’s Group will be having a pancake breakfast following service on March 8th. Any donations will benefit the Red Bird Mission Trip.

Lakewood will be collecting clothing items for distribution at the overflow shelter.   Items for donation include new underwear (boxer briefs for the men), socks (moisture wicking please), emergency thermal blankets (must be able to handle below 30 degree temps), sweatpants, t-shirts, and sweatshirts.  If you are interested in donating any of these items, there is a collection box in the narthex or inside the main door to the church.   Please feel free to contact Chris Paul if you have any additional questions or want to help.

Adult Sunday School led by Pastor Kathleen, will be studying The Disciple’s Path.  We’ll meet in Room 24. Each session includes a short DVD presentation followed by time for reflection and open conversation. All adults are welcome!
